Chef Desiree was born in Tucson, Arizona, and grew up as a military brat. She has had the unique opportunity to travel to different countries and explore various cuisines, which greatly influenced her passion for cooking. After spending countless hours in the kitchen with her parents and grandparents, she went on to study culinary arts at Central Piedmont. In 2018, Kinker graduated with an Associate of Applied Science and received a Silver Medal for her outstanding work as a pastry chef. She was also chosen to be the commencement speaker for the 2019 Central Piedmont graduation.
In addition to her impressive culinary achievements, Kinker has also been featured on PBS Charlotte Cooks and local Charlotte news networks. She shares her inspiring story of overcoming challenges, which serves as a testament to her resilience and dedication.
